Antonio Padilla-Meléndez is Associate Professor of Management at the University of Malaga (Spain). He holds degrees in economics and business administration (BA, major in management) and business administration (PhD).
He has attended postgraduate courses at Harvard University (USA) and the University of Oxford (UK), and has been Visiting Scholar in Texas A&M International University (Laredo, TX, USA).
He is managing director of the research team “E-business: Electronic commerce and teleworking” of the University of Malaga. It is financed by the Andalusian government.
He is Technical Manager of innostrategy!, a knowledge and technology based company started initially as spin-off from the University of Malaga and with Novasoft as industrial partner. And he has served as expert and evaluator for the European Commission (2005, 2006, 2007)
Antonio has authored various books and published in different journals including Technovation, Facilities, Journal of Global Information Technology Management, Internet Research, Computers & Education, International Journal of Information Management and others. He has also published chapters in reviewed books edited by Kluwer Academic Publishers and Idea Group Inc., and papers in Spanish reviewed journals such as Economía Industrial, Revista Europea de Dirección y Economía de la Empresa, and Información Comercial Española. Revista de Economía. His research interests include e-Collaboration, technology adoption, and techno and academic entrepreneurship.
